Our Mission

God calls us, the FOA, to be His agent in action for the world in ways that transform peoples and societies. We are a group of individuals who are united in our desire to maintain a long term relationship with the people of Atebubu, Ghana, West Africa.

Our aim is to work in partnership with the community through their tribal leadership, the Presbyterian Church and other established groups. We are offering assistance that will help achieve basic human needs for dignity, security, education, food, health and livelihood in ways that are socially, economically and environmentally sustainable.

In addition to financial support, help will come in a variety of forms including strategic planning, assessment of sustainable results and the ability to ensure resources are used to maximum effect. Our relationship with the people of Atebubu will be characterized by mutual trust, respect, accountability and openness.

In all of our efforts, we will strive to be open to the direction of the Holy Spirit and to continue to hold the people of Atebubu in our prayers.
